Why CCW Solutions?
Credentials The Programs
Our instructors are all highly credentialed trainers, and additionally are NRA certified in the disciplines they teach. Unlike most other training facilitators, our instructors have successfully completed and are certified in advanced training programs not open to non-law enforcement persons. Many training facilities claim to employ instructors certified to instruct police operations. While these claims may have some validity, it is important to understand that law enforcement training in our state is highly regulated by MCOLES. While some private organizations and other facilities give certification in this discipline (law enforcement firearm training), most are not recognized by MCOLES. Generally speaking, you must be an active certified (MCOLES) law enforcement officer to instruct. Most police departments do not go outside the certified law enforcement community for training, preferring to certify and designate their own officers.
Our CPL programs utilize NRA structured course guidelines for the disciplines offered. The state of Michigan also recognizes certain NRA disciplines as meeting the criteria set for CPL certification. Our programs cater to every type of shooter, from novice to intermediate and advanced. We assure you that you will feel comfortable and leave with an intimate knowledge of the material and the equipment you will utilize. Many of our staff members are also certified firearm armorers for numerous firearm types and manufacturers. Our programs far exceed the minimums as required for certification. We understand the basic fundamentals cannot be taught with just one or two boxes of bullets. It is for this reason that we require a minimum of 250 rounds of ammunition on range day and we try to schedule outdoor shooting, where our students feel and perform their best. Our classes are relaxed and personal and move at a moderate rate.
